Job Title: Data Management Coordinator
Location: Hollywood
Summary: Covenant House California is currently seeking a motivated self-directed Full Time Data Management Coordinator for our Hollywood program (coordinates with our Oakland programs). Responsibilities include ensuring best practice and tracking standards for the documentation of program services (including audits for programs/grants). This includes implementation and management of all program databases for grants/compliance and data entry for HMIS and other grant required systems. The position is also responsible for assisting program management staff in audit coordination, auditing of files and coordination of grant reporting. The position reports to the Associate Executive Director.
Salary and Hours:  
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required.  Computer Science background a plus.  Master’s degree in Public Administration, Social Work, Psychology, or related fields considered a strong plus.  Minimum of Two years experience working in database program management, grant compliance, data systems and/or quality assurance. Strong Computer skills (MS Office) and Database Management skills plus Non-profit experience are preferred.
   
Job Title: Case Manager
Location: Oakland
Summary: Covenant House California (CHC) Oakland Program is seeking to fill a Full Time Case Manager position for the ROP program. The Case Manager is responsible for providing support services to clientele served by Covenant House California Oakland.  Essential functions of the position are emergency, transitional and long term housing placements, crisis intervention, individual assessments and referrals, and writing case plans. The position is also responsible for brief counseling (problem solution model) and presenting cases to site staff. This position will also interface with other community agencies as needed.
Salary and Hours: Sunday to Thursday
12:00pm to 8:30pm
Qualifications: Minimum of a BA degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or a related field, Minimum of 2 years case management experience working with high risk youth and have a knowledge of adolescent development, and case management, HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases, substance abuse, social service / probation system, gang affiliated youth and Urban community environment. Must be a self-starter and team player with the ability to work with other staff. Must have reliable transportation, a valid California driver’s license and good driving record.
   
Job Title: Education and Employment Specialist
Location: Oakland
Summary: Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Education and Employment Specialist provides targeted educational and employment support, including intensive job retention services to residents in the CHC housing programs.  The Specialist will work collaboratively with each resident’s assigned Case Manager to support and ensure appropriate progress toward resident goals. This position will help identify and develop employment opportunities for youth, and identify appropriate and effective resources to promote the educational attainment and career development of youth.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Vocational education, Social Sciences or a related field.  Two years experience in youth or young adult residential services, educational and/ or employment counseling with the client population.  Knowledge and experience working with vocational programs and educational systems. Must have knowledge of adolescent development and ability to teach at-risk youth. Must have very strong communication and organizational skills.  Must be computer literate (Word, Outlook, ACCESS, etc.)  Must be a self-starter and team player with the ability to work with other staff members, clients, vendors and the public
   
Job Title: Safety Officers
Location: Oakland
Summary: The Safety Officer will ensure the safety of residents, staff, and visitors. Monitors the physical property, monitors entrance and site activity in all buildings through the use of foot patrol and surveillance equipment. Responsible for reporting all suspicious activities/events to management staff. Assists staff to resolve conflicts, inspects residents belongings, and utilizes de-escalation techniques as necessary to maintain a safe environment. Assists/facilitates in emergency and crisis situations. Monitors reception desk, answers phones, greets residents, staff, and guests.

Job Title: Resident Advisors
Location: Hollywood
Summary:

Under the supervision of the Resident Manager, the Resident Advisor provides custodial supervision of the shelter, including coverage of the various areas of the facility inspect physical plant for safety and maintenance, provide all necessary documentation for residents files on a regular basis Resident Advisors coordinate and facilitate in-house group activities, and assist with supervision of residents during special activities and outings.

Qualifications:

A Bachelors degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field and a minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience working with at risk or homeless youth is required. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be highly organized. Must be a self-starter and team player with the ability to work with other staff members, clients, vendors, and the public.

   
Job Title: Associate Development Officer (Development Fundrasing)
Location: Oakland
Summary: The position is responsible for all Covenant House California fundraising activities in Northern California, which includes  but is not limited to soliciting, closing and stewarding Legacy Gifts, corporate support, foundation grants and individual gifts in the range of $10,000 - $100,000+. The position reports to the Chief Development & Communications Officer located in Los Angeles (by phone and as needed in person). The ADO position will be located in Oakland and will be a vital member of the statewide Covenant House California development team charged with meeting critical Northern California development objectives. The successful candidate must be able to provide leadership, be highly motivated and have a proven track record in the fund development arena. The position requires a high volume schedule of personal contacts and involvement activities for fund development and must meet established goals for a fund development plan in Northern California. This plan will include monthly and yearly goals for fundraising.
Salary and Hours: Full Time Monday through Friday
Qualifications: BA degree is required, Master’s degree preferred with 7-10 years of progressively responsible fundraising experience with at least 3 years experience in a similar level development position.  The successful candidate must have excellent communication, interpersonal and management skills. He/she must have personal and professional integrity, tactfulness, good judgment and have excellent computer skills; this includes familiarity with Raiser’s Edge, or comparable fundraising/donor database software programs. Existing relationships with corporations, foundations and community organizations a plus. Must have a valid CA driver license, reliable transportation and a good driving record.

Job Title: LCSW Clinical Therapist
Location: Oakland
Summary: The LCSW Clinical Therapist is responsible for the supervision of case management services to residential youth. Provides direct services to clients via individual and group therapy, clinical assessments, case management and crisis intervention. Responsible for overseeing and providing timely, accurate, and thorough documentation of direct services provided. Ability to provide trainings to staff on mental health/behavioral issues as needed.
Salary and Hours:

Part Time (up to 24 hours)

Monday through Friday
two days 9:00am to 3:30pm
and
two days 2:00pm to 8:30pm

Qualifications: The position requires an MSW/LCSW with two years’ post licensure experience. Must have clinical knowledge and experience in diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders in childhood and young adult population. The position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written forms. Must be a self-starter and a team player, with the ability to work with other staff members, clients, vendors and the public.
   
Job Title: Facilities/Janitorial Worker
Location: Oakland
Summary: The Facilities/Janitorial Worker will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment of the Oakland facility at all times. He/she completes minor repairs such as painting projects/ internal offices, etc. as appropriate, coordinates scheduled maintenance, maintains a cleaning supply inventory and other related tasks as assigned/needed. On a daily basis performs walkthroughs and documents monthly safety inspection/review using the Oakland Safety/Health Log. May make scheduled deliveries; pick up supplies, equipment and donations as directed.
Salary and Hours: Part Time Tuesday to Saturday
8:00am to 12:30pm
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Two or more years of experience in the area of janitorial, maintenance or related areas are required. Must have the ability and knowledge to operate housekeeping/ laundry equipment, physical stamina, hardworking, trustworthy, and attentive to duties and responsibilities and be able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
