Covenant House California regularly accepts in-kind donations for our youth. We heavily rely on the kindness and commitment of companies, community businesses, and private donors to meet these needs that are often beyond our budget constraints. Please view our list of essential needs listed below.

Essential Needs
Gift Cards
Visa, American Express, Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, Macys, Target, Payless Shoes, Ross, etc.
Linens
Bath towels -white or any colors
Wash cloths- white or any colors
Bed sheets-fitted and flat
Blankets- twin or double
Comforters- twin-double or any size
Food Items
We definitely accept food items. Extra caution should be taken with perishable goods. They must be at their proper temperatures when delivered to CHC to prevent food poisoning.
Personal Hygiene Products
Shampoo, conditioner, bath soaps, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant sticks, shaving creme, disposable razors, skin lotion, foot powder, sunburn and lip remedies, combs, brushes, feminine hygiene items, hair grease, hair gel, etc.
Footwear
Dark dress socks, white cotton athletic socks, panty hose (M-Queen), tennis shoes, dress shoes
Average size for female youth: 7-12;
Average size for male youth: 8-12
New Undergarments
Panties, bras, tights, slips for female youth
(all sizes, including 1X,2X,3X)
Briefs and boxers for male youth
(all sizes, including 1X,2X,3X)
Accessories
Umbrellas, raincoats, wash cloths, hair ties, scrunchies, barrettes, clips, curling irons, blow dryers
Educational, Recreational, or Cultural Materials
Backpacks, school supplies, educational books, arts and crafts supplies
Cleaning/Household Supplies
Detergent, bleach, all-purpose cleaners, sponges, powdered cleansers, cleaning cloths, fabric softeners
NOTE: Please note, due to space constraints, we are not presently accepting business or casual clothing. We do not accept computers and other computer-related equipment older than year 2010; used pots, pans, and other used kitchen utensils; used toiletries, used mattresses, used blankets, used towels and other used linens; any clothing inappropriate for our youth.
