Covenant House California also offers additional services to help provide a youth everything they need to move toward independent living. If a youth is in need of a service that CHC does not provide, we will in most cases find a program to refer them to.
Some of our additional services include:
CHC hosts several recovery meetings each week. These meetings are open to residents as well as people in the community.
Youth working with any of the Hollywood Homeless Youth Partnership (HHYP) agencies may participate in a Youth Leadership program with the Los Angeles County Commission on Human Relations. This program teaches youth about advocating for the homeless youth population, and involves a Youth Council, community involvement, and public speaking.
Aftercare and Outpatient Services
Transitional age youth (ages 18 to 24) who live or have transitioned into the community may access mental health and health services through CHC until the age of 24.
Former Covenant House California residents who want to stay connected with CHC and “give back” may volunteer their time to Covenant House California in a variety of on-site and community projects.
