Covenant House California hosts its annual Awards Gala A Magical Night of Hope at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, California, on Thursday, June 7, 2012.

Vanessa Williams and U.N. Ambassador Francis Lorenzo are the 2012 A Magical Night of Hope honorees. The evening will feature silent and live auctions, A-list entertainment, dinner, and dancing. Robin DiMaggio is serving as the event’s Musical Director

The Awards Gala celebrates the resilience of Covenant House California’s youth to lift themselves out of homelessness, and also honors outstanding individuals who serve as role models for youth everywhere thanks to their outstanding life achievements and significant civic contributions.

Past notables include James Cameron, Jessica Alba, Andy Garcia, Nikki Sixx, Keyshawn Johnson, Blake Griffin, Sharon Osbourne, William Shatner and Charlize Theron.
