Many of our youth lack a consistent, supportive adult in their lives. Mentors offer youth encouragement, understanding, a non‐judgmental attitude, a listening ear, perspective, and serve as a sounding board in their decision making process. Mentors are matched with youth who have been in our program for several months and are now preparing to eventually move into our Supportive Apartments Program, or into their own apartment. Mentors are supported and advised by CHC staff and are considered part of the team that is working together to help our youth achieve success. Mentors must be at least 27 years old, and able to make a 6 month minimum commitment to the program.
