Bill Bedrossian
    President & Chief Executive Officer

    With 20 years of child welfare and homeless services experience, Bill has served as the CEO of Covenant House CA, since 2014. Bill’s own parents have been foster parents for 30+ years and have adopted 8 of his 11 siblings through the child welfare system. He has a B.S. in Business Administration and Finance from Taylor University, and a Masters of Social Work from Loyola University in Chicago. Bill began his career in social work doing street outreach, residential care and behavioral modification therapy in Chicago, Illinois in the mid-1990s. He subsequently spent 13 years with the L.A. County Department of Child and Family Services, leaving in 2008, as the agency’s South County Regional Director, overseeing 400+ staff and the total child welfare operations for the region of 1 million + people. In 2010, Bill became the Executive Director at Olive Crest, Los Angeles, and was subsequently appointed as ED of Olive Crest’s Southern California operations in 2012, overseeing 500+ staff and programs in LA, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego Counties, serving abused and at-risk children through a continuum of child abuse prevention, family support, foster care, adoption, and housing services. Bill has served as an adjunct professor in USC’s Graduate School of Social Work since 2012.

    Luz Buan, CPA
    Chief Financial Officer

    Luz has served Covenant House California since 1992. Luz oversees finance, payroll, purchasing, and grants management processes. She also manages the facilities management teams for both Hollywood and Oakland, and the contract with Covenant House California’s food service provider, FMA. She develops annual and long-range goals and strategies for the finance group as well as the agency as a whole. Luz’s extensive experience includes developing and managing the agency’s budget, which is upwards of $9.6 million, tax and audit reporting, grants management, and managing the agency’s investments.

    Krista Girty
    Senior Vice President of Northern California Operations

    Krista has worked for two decades as an advocate for youth in several capacities managing crisis and stabilization programs and services for homeless youth. Krista was the Director of Health Services at Huckleberry Youth Programs (HYP) where she managed the Huckleberry Youth Health Center/Cole Street Clinic before joining CHC. While at HYP Krista helped design and implement the 24-hour crisis response for CSEC for San Francisco County. Prior to that, she was the Manager of Health Services at Larkin Street Youth Services overseeing HIV health, residential, and ancillary services for HIV positive youth. Prior to that she was the Director of Program Operations and Services for the Jacksonville Area Sexual Minority Youth Network (JASMYN) in Florida. Krista is a MSW and graduated from Eastern Michigan University.

    Ami Rowland
    Senior Vice President of Southern California Operations

    Ami has 20 years of experience working in residential treatment programs for at-risk children and youth. She was most recently the Southern California Regional Director of Residential services for children and transitional-age youth at Olive Crest. It was there that she handled all program guidelines, development, strategic planning, budgeting, supervision of management employees, and was an advocate for transitional housing programs and the extension of ‘Foster Care Until 21’ across the state. Other experience includes progressively responsible positions in therapy and program management.

    Amanda Sattler
    Chief Development & Communications Officer

    Amanda oversees all fund-development and external communications for the organization. With nearly 20 years of increasing experience in non-profit leadership, Amanda is passionate about serving causes that support young people. Before transitioning to CHC in 2015, she led all fundraising activities at Junior Achievement of Southern California, where she honed her skills in major gift cultivation, board development, strategic planning, communications, staff recruitment and management. Amanda has a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy & Management, a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, and an Executive Master of Leadership degree from the University of Southern California. Amanda is a CASA for a 17-year-old in foster care, and serves on the boards of RaisingHOPE, and USC’s Executive Master of Leadership Alumni program.
